Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
CGS is a common religious experience involving children and adults in which the religious values of childhood, primarily those values of contemplation and enjoyment of God, are predominant. This experience is shared in a place particularly prepared for the religious life of children called the Atrium.
There are limited openings in the Wednesday level 2 session that meets 5:30-7:15pm. Please contact Christie McGee at christiem@stjosephcc.net for information.
Orientation for 2022-23:
Level I individual orientation sessions per family on Sunday, September 11.
Level 2 short class orientation for new students only on Sunday, September 11, and Wednesday, September 14.
First day of CGS: Sunday, September 18, and Wednesday, September 21.

We are always looking for individuals willing to train to become a CGS Catechist. Catechists must be fully trained to lead an atrium. Assistants only need to attend training provided at St. Joseph. If you are interested, please complete the form down below.
Catechesis for children 3 - 9 years old
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a faith formation program that builds upon a child's natural sense of wonder using sensory experiences to help the child fall in love with God. Children are drawn into the life of the church by working with simply, meaningful objects. The program stems from liturgical and Biblical concepts.
