“I have found that listening to people and praying with them brings comfort in their time of need. On one occasion I prayed with a parishioner over the phone. He was sharing some difficulties with me and I asked him if we could say a prayer together and that gave him a sense of calm. There have been times when I’ve prayed with other staff members when they’ve shared a troubling situation with me. It is the Holy Spirit working through me that brings them the peace they seek.”
