Holy Orders & Religious Vocations

Becoming a priest, deacon, religious brother or sister, or consecrated man or woman enlivens Christ's Church, breathing new life into it by a generous gift of one's life. God calls some of His people to this unique life for the good of the Church, and for the good of that individual, because God only calls us to vocations that will bring us joy and fulfillment.

Ben Crocker Entered Holy Trinity Seminary (September 2020)

Growing up, Ben was an altar server and active in youth group, but was convinced he was destined to get married and have a family. While in his 3rd year at A&M he began to discern his vocation more seriously with daily prayer and adoration and found that the Lord is calling him to use his gifts and talents in the priesthood.

Pray for Ben that he may continue to follow the call of Christ.

Ike (Ikechukwu) Iwuji Entered Holy Trinity Seminary (September 2019)

While growing up Ike had the passing thought of being a priest but pushed the notion aside. He always had the desire to help people and decided to study to be an Orthopedic Doctor. In his 2nd year of college the thought of being a priest grew. He now feels the Lord has called him to be a spiritual doctor rather than a physical one.

Pray for Ike that he may continue to follow the call of Christ.

José Sanchez Ramirez Entered the St. Joseph Seminary in Medellin, Columbia (September 2021)

I had always wanted to be an architect. I found myself spending more time with God in prayer and I longed to be with him in my journey. I could hear him drawing me closer to Him and holiness. My heart was changing and I began hearing the Lord’s sweet call to “Come With Me”.

Pray for José that he may continue to follow the call of Christ.

Alexander Tsatsoulas Entered the Poor Friars and Nuns of Jesus and Mary (February 2022)

I’ve always wanted to help people and after I read Augustine’s Confessions, I came to see Jesus was the answer to the world’s problems. After searching and diving into my faith and with daily Adoration encouraged by a friend, I found the Catholic Church was my home.

Pray for Alexander that he may continue to follow the call of Christ.
