Why should I donate blood? Patients need blood, platelets and plasma at all hours of every day. They include people involved in accidents and blunt trauma, premature babies, those undergoing cancer and surgical treatments, bone and organ transplant recipients, mothers experiencing complex childbirths, older adults with health issues, and many others. Our community must see at least 1,500 donors a day to help local patients in need of lifesaving blood transfusions.
