For Catholic Christians, Baptism is the beginning of all Christian life. During Infant Baptism, parents and godparents vow before God to teach their children the Catholic Christian faith. However, if children are ages seven and older, they need to be taught to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church recognizes seven as the age at which a child becomes morally responsible. Once children reach the age of seven, they must give their consent to being baptized.
In order for a child age 7 and older to be baptized, both child & guardian must attend a baptism workshop. Childcare for younger children is available with reservation, $5 per child.
