"Historical Books of the Bible" by Jim McGill

This ten-week course will explore the books in the Catholic Bible that are considered historical. Of course, these books are much more than mere history. They contain deep theological and spiritual insights presented through the persons and events of Old Testament history. We will meet characters as diverse as Joshua, Deborah, Samson, Samuel, David, Solomon, Jezebel, Elijah, Ezra, Nehemiah and many, many others. These books are an interesting blend of historical narrative, profound theology and intriguing character studies all presented at times like action movies or soap operas.
